More About Hurricanes!

Standard

Hurricanes, by Seymour Simon, is a book  about, well, hurricanes.  I learned that the center of a hurricane is called the eye, and that it is fairly calm in the eye.  But if you are in the eye, and you think the worst is over, be warned.  Around the eye of the storm are very strong winds.  The worst of the storm is right over you.   I learned that a hurricane can be a category 1, 2,3, 4, or 5. One is the weakest, and five is the strongest.  Hurricane Andrew was a category five hurricane when it hit Florida.  Oh, and just remember, I learned all of the facts that are in this blog  from this book!:-)
