A Tea Party Field Trip

Standard

Grace and I had the opportunity to go to a tea party at a lovely local shop (well, local to Hickory) today…so, of course, we jumped at the chance.Β  Believe it or not, this actually tied into school as we discussed the importance of tea in our history (Boston Tea Party, as an obvious example) and the role tea continues to play in many cultures.Β  And, let’s face it, we just like a reason to wear hats. πŸ˜‰Β  Here we are as we’re heading out the door:

Hats on and ready to go. (Document this or something....you may never see another picture of me on this blog.) πŸ˜‰

Β The tea party was a fun and new cultural experience for Grace even if she didn’t actually like the tea. πŸ™‚Β  And the lucky girl talked me into buying some new yarn to make her a scarf.Β  I sense I’ve been scammed here. πŸ˜‰

Check back tomorrow for the newest “Week in Pictures.”
